Most agency founders will tell you they "got into marketing because they love helping businesses grow." That's a nice story. Mine's less polished.

I got into this because I watched business owners get robbed. Not literally, but close enough. Agencies charging thousands a month for work that amounted to a few blog posts nobody read and a rankings report designed to look impressive while the phone stayed quiet. I saw it in Macon. I saw it in Atlanta. I saw it in Nashville. Same playbook everywhere: overpromise during the sales call, underdeliver for months, then blame the algorithm when the client finally asks why nothing changed.

I co-founded Southern Digital Consulting in 2015 because I believed there was a different way to do this work. Not a better pitch. A better process. SDC has since launched over 1,000 websites and built SEO systems for businesses across the Southeast and nationally. In 2024, I founded Rank Nashville to do the same thing for a city I know block by block.
