Founder, Rank Nashville & Southern Digital Consulting
I got into this because I watched business owners get robbed. Not literally, but close enough. Agencies charging thousands a month for work that amounted to a few blog posts nobody read and a rankings report designed to look impressive while the phone stayed quiet. I saw it in Macon. I saw it in Atlanta. I saw it in Nashville. Same playbook everywhere: overpromise during the sales call, underdeliver for months, then blame the algorithm when the client finally asks why nothing changed.
I co-founded Southern Digital Consulting in 2015 because I believed there was a different way to do this work. Not a better pitch. A better process. SDC has since launched over 1,000 websites and built SEO systems for businesses across the Southeast and nationally. In 2024, I founded Rank Nashville to do the same thing for a city I know block by block.
Both companies are active. Both operate on the same principle: if the work doesn’t generate revenue, it fails.

I specialize in industries where a bad marketing decision isn’t just annoying. It’s expensive. Law firms that need cases, not clicks. Healthcare practices where compliance isn’t optional. Aesthetic practices are competing in a market where everyone’s content looks the same. Professional service companies where the sales cycle is long, and trust is the actual currency.
These aren’t industries that tolerate guesswork. A personal injury attorney can’t afford to rank for keywords that attract people looking for free advice instead of people ready to hire. A regenerative medicine clinic can’t publish content that triggers a compliance review.
Fourteen years of doing this work, not managing it, doing it. That’s the difference. I’ve run campaigns across agency environments, led sales teams, and built my own businesses. I understand what happens after someone fills out a contact form, because I’ve been on the other side of that form. Most marketers optimize for traffic. I optimize for the moment a prospect picks up the phone.
For law firms, my work has generated over $2 million in attributed case value by targeting high-intent searches. The queries where someone isn't browsing, they're deciding. A downtown Nashville law firm saw 180% growth in local search impressions and started converting contact forms directly from Google traffic. A criminal defense firm hit the top 3 in the local map pack across 7 zip codes. A West Nashville legal practice tripled its ranking visibility for "near me" and local modifier searches.
Outside legal: a local HVAC company doubled its organic traffic in six months and pulled in over 100 new leads through Google Business Profile alone. A Brentwood medical practice increased organic form submissions by 150% after a full website redesign paired with a blog content strategy. A B2B company in East Nashville grew year-over-year organic sessions by 120% and cut its bounce rate from 78% to 41%. An e-commerce brand saw a 250% increase in organic revenue with 3x growth in non-branded keyword visibility.
Across portfolios, the typical ROI lands between 3x and 5x within six months. Not on every campaign. But consistently enough that I’m comfortable putting it here.
Those results come from a specific philosophy: fix what’s broken before building what’s new. Most sites I audit have technical problems bleeding traffic before a single piece of content gets written. I fix the foundation first. Then I build.
You won’t get handed off to a junior account manager after the sales call. I work directly with clients. The person who understands your business is the person making strategic decisions about your marketing. Over 40 Nashville businesses work with me this way. It doesn’t scale infinitely, and that’s the point.
Every engagement is month-to-month. You stay because the work produces results, not because you signed something you regret.
You'll see what's ranking, what's converting, what's not working, and what I'm doing about it. No dashboards designed to distract you with green arrows while your lead count stays flat.
I won’t sell you services you don’t need. If your website needs a rebuild before SEO makes sense, I’ll tell you. Even if it means I don’t close the deal today. If paid ads get you faster results, I’ll say so.
I won’t promise rankings by a specific date. Anyone who does is either lying or doesn’t understand how search works.
I won’t hide behind jargon. If I can’t explain what I’m doing and why in plain language, that’s my failure.
I live here. I work here. I know that a dentist in Brentwood and a criminal defense attorney in East Nashville operate in completely different search ecosystems, even though they’re fifteen minutes apart.
Local SEO in Nashville isn’t about slapping “Nashville, TN” on every page. It’s neighborhood intelligence. How someone in The Nations searches is different from how someone in Green Hills searches. A medical practice in Midtown competes against a completely different set than one in Franklin. The Gulch moves fast. Venues and restaurants need real-time visibility and mobile-first speed. Green Hills skews toward legal and medical, where E-E-A-T signals and trust markers determine who ranks. These aren’t nuances a national agency picks up from a spreadsheet.
Rank Nashville exists because that local knowledge compounds. Neighborhood-specific landing pages for 12 South, Sylvan Park, The Nations consistently outperform generic city-wide pages in engagement, session duration, and conversions. I know this because I’ve tested it across dozens of Nashville campaigns.
National agencies don't drive past your office. I do.
I'll assess your site, rankings, competition, and technical health. Where you stand today, missed keyword opportunities, technical issues, competitor gaps, and how to start generating more leads from search. Honest evaluation, no obligation.
Tell me what you need. I'll tell you whether I can help, how long it might take, and what it'll cost. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so.
